With the design completed, the next phase focuses on service transition and managing changes in the Google service provision.
Change management will primarily be required for the installation of any Google Labs requested as a result of service requests. These will need to be assessed for fit within the business before release to users. Updates and enhancements to Google Apps in the core applications are rolled out on a regular basis and communicated through the Google Apps update feed (see link on the right).
Knowledge management should take the form of an FAQ database if possible along with access to the appropriate training which Netinfo can assist with. Training is a key feature of this phase which is critical to the success of your roll-out and ensures that all users are comfortable with the new environment and have the knowledge to capitalise on the power of Google Apps in the workplace.
Service testing and validation and configuration management will be necessary for custom code and a code repository established (e.g. Subversion). |
